The very first issue of Coup de Soleil explores summer holidays in their most ordinary simplicity:sunbathing at the beach, eating ice cream at any time of day, napping in the shade, walking aroundin flip-flops, and so on. All those little details that make summer the season everyone looks forward to come together here with only one concern: having none at all — and soaking up as much vitamin D as possible.

 

Subtitled “Is the summer summering enough?”, this issue invites readers to unwind and sets the rhythm of our summer through the eyes of Agathe and Zoé, the minds of Léna and Claude,and the hand of Solal. Embodying the season of endless possibilities, the subtitle has no literaltranslation, but could be summed up like this: better would be too much.
